About Me

My name is Todd and I'm a Single and Multi Engine Commercial Pilot as well as an FAA Certificated Flight Instructor and Advanced Ground Instructor. While learning to fly I had a lot of instructors who were just building time to join the airlines and really weren't interested in teaching ground school. I started Plaid Aviation because I believe ground instruction should be fun! Aside from finances, ground school causes more people to drop out of flight training than any other reason. But that doesn't have to be the case. My goal is to help people pass their FAA tests, but more importantly, I want to help lay the foundation to build safe, proficient pilots.
